Terms of use

Ducky website and waitlist · Updated 14 October 2026

These terms cover this website and the Ducky waitlist. Ducky is an independently run personal project. Questions: ducky@opengrove.io.

What the waitlist is

Joining the waitlist tells us which plan you are interested in and lets us email you about Ducky. It is free. It is not a purchase, an order or a pre-order, it does not reserve a price or a place, and no payment is taken on this site.

Plans and prices

Digital only (Ducky for your phone) is in a private beta that is not open to everyone yet. The Physical bundle (a real robot Ducky with the digital pet included) is a future version: it has not been manufactured and has no ship date. Prices on this site are planned launch prices in US dollars and may change. We will confirm prices and early-bird terms by email before anything goes on sale.

Who can join

You must be 18 or older. By submitting the form you confirm that you are 18 or older and have read our Privacy Notice. Please use your own email address.

Ducky is an AI character

Ducky's voice and replies are generated by AI, and its moves come from a physics simulation. Ducky can be wrong or silly. Nothing Ducky says is professional, medical or financial advice.

Fair use

Please don't misuse the site: no automated or bulk sign-ups, no other people's addresses, and no attempts to break, overload or get around the site's protections.

Changes and availability

We may change, pause or end the waitlist, the beta or these terms. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update this page and its date. The site is provided as it is, and we can't promise it will always be available.
